SMA-30H is a functionalized polymer copolymer containing maleic anhydride groups produced through a novel reactor polymerization method. Due to its high reactive active groups, it can react with different groups, such as carboxyl and amino groups, which can improve the uniform dispersion effect of different substrates, excellent compatibility, and improve the comprehensive performance of the material.

Application
Due to the unique structure of the product, SMA-30H is mainly used in the following pathways and areas that have not yet been developed.

During the hydrolysis process of SMA-30H in pigment dispersion, the SMA resin opens its ring to form two adjacent carboxylic acid groups, which can form various forms of ionic polymers.
Hydrolyzed SMA resin can be used as a reactive polymer surfactant for pigment dispersion. SMA resin is suitable for pigment wetting, grinding, and dispersion in water-based ink coatings.
The excellent properties of SMA resin make it more suitable for preparing stable water-based pigment dispersion systems with high color to base ratio and high pigment content than styrene acrylate polymers.
SMA-30H can be used as an alkali soluble resin in water-based ink and water-based varnish applications. Adding 0.35-2.0wt% (dry weight to total weight) can reduce ink viscosity by 40%.
It can significantly improve the water resistance, heat resistance, and adhesion to polar substrates of the film, while maintaining a high gloss.
SMA-30H can be added as a polymeric surfactant or alkali soluble resin in the dairy industry,
Comprehensively adjust the particle size of lotion, improve the stability, heat resistance and water resistance of lotion, and endow lotion with ideal comprehensive properties.
Advantages of SMA-30H in leather retanning agents:
1. Good wettability to pigments;
2. Good permeability to fatliquors;
3. The anchoring effect of chromium ions on wet blue skin is very obvious, allowing free chromium particles to fill the interior of the fiber.
